March for fair pay – 18th October

18 October Demonstration

The UK is gearing up for the biggest demonstration this decade, when we will show the government that we won’t stand for poverty pay any longer.

UNISON is calling on activists to make sure all branches and regions mobilise for 18 October. If your branch is campaigning on pay this Autumn, this is your chance to join hundreds of thousands of others in standing up for fair pay. Falling wages affect everyone, so UNISON members will be bringing their families and friends along too.

London

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) is organising a mass demonstration in London under the slogan “Britain needs a pay rise”. Thousands of people will assemble from 11am on the Embankment near Blackfriars and move off at noon to Hyde Park where there will be a rally with speakers and entertainment. A short route is being arranged for those who will have difficulty with a full route. An assembly point for wheelchair/mobility scooter users will be available on the Embankment.
